Douglas A. Pettit has extensive trial and litigation experience in the areas of civil litigation, professional liability, employment law, healthcare, and product liability. He has tried over 30 cases in San Diego, Orange, and Los Angeles Counties. Doug’s extraordinary record of favorable outcomes and exemplary client service resulted in his being recognized as one of “San Diego’s Top Attorneys” by the San Diego Daily Transcript in 2006 and selected for inclusion in San Diego Super Lawyers® list in the area of professional liability for each year 2007-2010 with the prestigious distinction of being named in the Top 50 list in 2010. He was inducted into the American Board of Trial Advocates in June, 2007.
Doug was born in New Cumberland, West Virginia, and attended Bethany College in Bethany, West Virginia, where he graduated summa cum laude with a major in Economics and a minor in English. He then obtained his Juris Doctor degree from Washington & Lee University School of Law in Lexington, Virginia. He has been licensed to practice law in the State of California since 1992.
