Valerie Garcia Hong obtained her Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2005 and her Bachelor of Science in Journalism with Honors from the University of Illinois in 2001. While attending law school, Valerie was one of the Student Editors of the Employee Rights and Employment Policy Journal. She earned the CALI Excellence Award for Employment Litigation. Valerie also participated in the Thomas Tang National Moot Court Team and was awarded as National Runner-Up and Best Oral Advocate at the Regional level. During law school, Valerie was a judicial extern for Honorable Joan Lefkow in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Valerie’s litigation practice focuses primarily on professional malpractice and civil litigation. Awards - Filipino American Lawyers of San Diego’s President’s Award for Outstanding Service (2009)
