In the Community

Pettit Kohn is a proud supporter of the Back 9 Organization. Attorneys Tyler Theobald and Jeff Boman participated in the 1st Annual Golf Tournament, which was held to raise funds for our San Diego community.

Team captain and Pettit Kohn attorney Jenna Leyton, along with several Pettit Kohn team members, rallied in Downtown San Diego to raise awareness and support the fight against cancer at the American Cancer’s Society’s Relay for Life. It was a huge success, earning well over $70,000 (compared to last year’s $18,000), and would not have been possible without the enthusiasm and support of all its participants and donors.

Since 1998, Dress for Success San Diego focuses on helping low income women acquire jobs, build careers and improve the quality of life for their families. Through their private boutique this organization has served over 6000 women, assisting with wardrobe and interview preparation services, employment retention programs and life management consultation. Led by attorney Valerie Hong, Pettit Kohn was able to contribute many suits and accessories to this worthwhile cause.

The CYC Theatre changes lives and futures for young people through Performing Arts. Pettit Kohn is a proud sponsor of this year’s Cat in the Hat production.

As a source of education, inspiration and guidance the CRF offers real opportunities to young people in California and throughout the country by way of their well-established and successful programs.

In ongoing efforts and a commitment to become more involved in the community, Pettit Kohn has partnered with I Love A Clean San Diego and officially adopted Del Mar-North Beach (the beach area located between Powerhouse Park and Via de la Valle). Employees and friends of Pettit Kohn will participate in three beach cleaning events this next year to help keep our beaches clean in San Diego.

Pettit Kohn was honored to help sponsor the 17th annual Lawyers Club of San Diego Golf Tournament and the worthwhile causes it advances.

Pettit Kohn attorneys Drew Kohn and Tyler Theobald mentored the TPHS Law Club’s Mock Trial Team in preparation for the San Diego county Mock Trial Competition. The event was administered by the Constitutional Rights Foundation and held on February 3-7 at San Diego Superior Court and San Diego Office of Education.
