- Gray v. IDS, Case No. B216449. Pettit Kohn represented the respondent and secured affirmance of trial court’s dismissal of action based on appellant’s failure to file amended complaint.
- Yee v. Cheung, Case No. D060989. Pettit Kohn represented an attorney sued for malicious prosecution arising from the attorney's representation of clients alleging theft of funds owned by a Chinese community music organization. Pettit Kohn prevailed on an anti-SLAPP motion and secured attorney's fees and costs. The Court of Appeal affirmed the trial court's decision in a published decision. This is the first published decision by the Court of Appeal, Fourth Appellate District addressing the statute of limitations for malicious prosection claims against an attorney. See Yee v. Cheung (2013) 220 Cal.App.4th 184.
- Bastien v. Kershek, Case No. D058424. Pettit Kohn handled the appeal before the Court of Appeal, Fourth Appellate District, Division One and the appellant's petition for review to the Supreme Court. Pettit Kohn addressed the discovery rule for the one-year statute of limitations against attorneys. Pettit Kohn secured and collected the judgment from the appellant for the client.
